Beach Ready Legs Workout

March 14, 2013 By Trainer Andrei Leave a Comment

Summer is just around the corner and many people are flocking back to the gym to get in shape. And when you’re ready to set foot on the beach the only thing hotter than the sand should be your legs.  Incorporate this leg workout into your routine and you’ll build strong, lean and sexy legs.

Whenever I couldn’t make it to the gym during cold winter months, this was my go to legs workout.  Not only it helped me build strength, but also it’s a killer cardio workout.

Beach Ready Legs Workout

  • Jump Rope
  • Walking Lunges w/Kettlebell in Overhead Position (switch hands when you’re half-way through your set)
  • Kettlebell Deadlift (be sure to watch this to execute it properly)
  • Kettlebell Goblet Squat and Press
  • Two-Arm Kettlebell Swings
  • Calf Raises (single leg calf raises)

How To Do The Workout

Perform each exercises one after the other.  Take 1 minute break when you complete all six exercises.  Perform a total of 3 sets.  First set consists of max amount of reps.  Number of reps performed drops down with each set.  Click here to download the workout and number of reps you should perform during each exercise.  The weight should be heavy enough to complete all reps in the first set. You can do this workout at home with a kettlebell, even a dumbbell will do. If you don’t have those, a heavy soup can will do.

The first time you do this workout it should take you almost 40 minutes complete.  As you get better, stronger and faster you should be doing it around 30-32 minute mark. Lastly, both men and women can take advantage of this great leg workout.
